Hola
We have now completed two days of brigades, both being very successful and rewarding. We have seen over 400 people each day in the medical clinic and over 50 in the dental clinic. On our public health brigades, projects which contribute to the sustainbility of our mission, we are building two latrines, a water system (pila), a stove and a concrete floor. Everyone is healthy, happy and enthusiastic-the GMB staff have mentioned several times how impressed they are with the hard work and spirit of our group. Tomorrow is our last full day of brigading and Thursday we will be visiting some of the additional projects of Sociedad Amigos de los Ninos. We hope all is well at home and will pass along the comments you have left!

When ever somethings is dear to me I write a poem here it is.
ReplyDeleteI think of you, and the things you do
every single day.
And then I pray, you'll be safe toady
in a place so far away.
You've changed the lives of husbands and wives
and kids that have no one
You've given a week, to the poor and meek
and were always on the run.
What you've done, has not all been fun
but you've all done your part
When its time to go, I'm sure you'll know
you've touched everybodies heart.
You've been on the go, and we all know
you brought aid to many places.
What was your pay? you'd have to say
seeing all those smiling faces.
Job well done I'm so impressed
