After many hours of travel, everyone is home safe and sound. The experience has had an impact on us all and the inspiration gained from the work done will hopefully carry through into making further change both in our own communities and afar. Each member of the group has gained a new sense of responsibility and awareness of the issues that exist to hinder development within Honduras, but also an appreciation and understanding of the beautiful people that live in the country and the potential that each one possesses when presented with the opportunities we take for granted each day.
In the coming days we will begin posting photos on the blog for non-facebook users and hope to give you all a glimpse of the memories we have brought back with us.
Once again, thank you for your support during our travel- your thoughts and best wishes were very much appreciated and without many of you, the trip could not have been possible.
Adios!
I for one was soooo happy to hear my daughter's voice once again and to know that all were fine! I have tremendous pride for what you all have accomplished and know that your lives will be changed forever. I cannot wait to see the pictures on this blog as I have followed this journey from day one! Way to go GMB Mount Allison and a special thank you to the organizers! Hugs & Kisses
ReplyDeleteI'm Tarek's mom and was privileged to be able to accompany this enthusiastic, hardworking, compassionate and wise (at this young age!) group of 'kids' from MTA. I have learned so much from this experience and from the kids themselves. Yes... you have been my teachers! I feel a little like a mother hen... full of pride and hope for you all. To all the family and friends following this blog... if these kids represent our future leaders... we are in good hands. I miss you all. Hugs and Kisses
